All list top 50 games. In this article, I will talk about games that were interesting at that time but for which no graphical information could be found - neither screenshots nor videos.
Witchy Mainframe
A sinister witch has captured your four friends for ransom, and you must find and free them. To release them, you need to guess their names, hidden behind a fence with missing planks, revealing only a single letter. If you fail to guess correctly, the name will be consumed. Sometimes you might encounter the witch's name, and if you guess it, she eats it herself.
Ultimate Star Trek Mainframe
A new version of a game released several years ago. This time, a more complex version was developed for Santa Anna University. Players must specify the exact degree of movement rather than choosing from several options.
You can sneak in invisibility mode and launch probes to scan distant corners of the galaxy. To balance enhanced capabilities, new races were added: Romulans, Thalians, Eminians, and Horts, each with its unique characteristics. Other races remain hidden during long-range scans. Hitting a star with a torpedo turns it into a supernova, destroying the entire quadrant.
Simsex Terminal
In this game, you will learn how to trade on the stock market. You start with a certain amount of money and must earn more. Your tools include short positions, margin trading, investing in savings accounts, receiving dividends, and stock splits. Consider broker commissions, and you can request audits of other players and their actions over a period.
Raumkrieg Mainframe
A tactical space game where each player controls 10 ships of different types: flagships, battle cruisers, scouts, to destroy each other. Interaction occurred through regular mail, with players sending letters and actions in turns.
The arena ranged from 0.0 to 999.999, accommodating 5 to 10 players. Different ships had unique features, and movement was fueled by distributing fuel, allowing strategic decisions. Victories were determined by points earned from destruction after 12 turns.
m199h Terminal
An RPG game meant for solo play, unusual for mainframes during that era. It was hidden in the foreign language study section, which marked where the game was concealed. Although found and deleted, many details reached us. Similar to earlier DND, it incorporated numerous spells, introducing teleportation and chest traps.
Shark Arcade
A game for up to four players where swimmers at the top of the screen try to reach the shore, and players attempt to eat them as sharks navigate through mazes and traps. The winner is the one who eats five swimmers the fastest. In single-player mode, swimmers can't reach the shore, and each five eaten extends the game.
VideoSport Mk 2 console
One of the early clones of the Atari Pong home console. It featured three versions of the game: Classic Pong, referred to as Tennis; Football, where players aim for a specific goal area rather than the entire side; and the third version, Hole in the Wall, where one player controls a hole in the wall, and the other controls a paddle.
