This is the first commercial game in history, and the second created on arcade machines. She earned money through the classic way to date - with the help of a coin receiver, but then it was an innovation.
Also, its uniqueness is that it does not work like classic computers even of that time, that is, the same mainframe computers. In order to make it cheaper, it was made from components used in televisions, that is, exclusively through transistors, circuits and discrete logic. It does not have classic, even for that time, components in the likeness of a central processor or RAM. This further increases the degree of achievement.
Also very noteworthy is the creator of this game himself - Nolan Bushnell, who made the greatest contribution to the early popularization of computer games. Actually, this was the original motivation of this associate, because he was familiar with many games on mainframes, but he wanted ordinary people to also be able to touch this new miracle of technology (which is now commonplace for us).
Then he created two of the most successful home consoles of the 70s: Pong and Atari.
The gameplay of the game takes place in space, where we confront two ships of aliens that are constantly respawning. We have 90 seconds to win the round, that is, knock down more plates than destroy us. If we achieve this, we are given a new attempt, and so on until we lose the round. As in other similar games, our goal is to set a record.
The game has complex controls: only forward and turns, as well as complex physics. This led to limited success with the game and consequently to commercial failure. The projectiles have inertia, which depends on our movement and turns, and the attraction created around the ships is also taken into account.
The game is inspired by one of the earliest created video games, Spacewar. Later, a two-player version was released to compete against each other.
If you think that the games deserve a story, then like, comment, repost.
